Messe Frankfurt, Inc. announces the launch of Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo (HTFSE) in cooperation with The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, July 13 - 15, 2010 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Based on industry feedback and a high level of interest from suppliers, the opportunity has arisen in North America for an event focused on fabric and material sourcing for home application (linens, towels, pillows, window coverings, furniture, etc.). There are currently several shows in the North American market focused on home textiles. However, they all revolve primarily around finished home goods for sale to retailers or are a minor offshoot of a furniture-focused event.

Messe Frankfurt is renowned worldwide for the Heimtextil brand but currently has nothing along these lines in the Americas. The launch of Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo is a first step towards filling this void and providing opportunities for Messe Frankfurt’s global customer base.

Messe Frankfurt, Inc. will be launching the event in partnership with “CCPIT TEX” The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of international Trade. The mission of CCPIT TEX is to support the development of the textile industry. Exhibitions are one of the key business platforms for CCPIT TEX to serve the textile industry worldwide and CCPIT TEX is the leading exhibition organizer for the textile and apparel industry in China.  

CCPIT TEX will be supporting and organizing a strong contingent of textile manufacturers from China, and Messe Frankfurt will be organizing strong contingents from many other key textile manufacturing centers.

About Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo
The only event in North America focused solely on sourcing for fabrics and materials intended for home applications. HTFSE will provide manufacturers, retailers, jobbers, converters, contract specifiers and designers a one stop sourcing venue where they can locate new materials and fabrics for their latest collections. The event is ultimately taking out the middle man and connecting the North American buyers directly with mills from around the world.

The first Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo will launch July 13 - 15, 2010 alongside Texworld USA at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, New York. The show will continue as an annual event taking place every summer alongside Texworld USA to create a larger sourcing destination for the marketplace.

The collocation with Texworld USA puts the Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo alongside the largest apparel fabric trade show in North America.  Based on the original Texworld show in Paris, France, Texworld USA has become the clear leader for apparel fabrics sourcing in North America.
